Long Term Care Insurance

Long-term care insurance is designed to cover long-term services and supports, including personal care in your home, community, or a facility.

The facilities covered in this section include the following:

  • Long-term care insurance policies reimburse policyholders a daily amount (up to a pre-selected limit) for services that assist with “activities of daily living” such as bathing, dressing, or eating.
  • Maryland Long-Term Care Insurance Partnership policies permit individuals to protect additional assets from spend-down requirements under Maryland’s Medicaid program.
